Summer Camps at The Bruentrup Heritage Farm

MAHS Youth Camps explore the worlds of our Dakota, Yankee-American, German-Immigrant, and Hmong Refugee peoples and culture through…

Fun. Friends. Food. Art. History… And so much more!

The Maplewood Area Historical Society is proud to present another season of one-of-a-kind hands-on and experiential day-camps for youth ages 6 – 16 at the beautiful 1891 Bruentrup Heritage Farm in Maplewood, Minnesota. Frequently Asked Questions

Is the deposit refundable if my child is unable to attend camp?

Unfortunately, we purchase supplies and pay for our amazing programming staff in advance, so camp deposits are not refundable.

My child is just under the age for camp, will you make an exception?

Our camps are intensive and designed around K-12 Minnesota Education Standards specific to our curriculum and theme based camps. That being said, if you feel your child would thrive at one of our day camps, but falls outside the suggested age range of campers, please contact our Executive Director, T.J. Malaskee at [email protected] to discuss options and exceptions!

My child has attended a Bruentrup Heritage Farm Day Camp in the past and loved it! Will there be anything new this year?

There’s always something new at the Bruentrup Heritage Farm! While many of our core components of curriculum based programming during camps are similar, activities and projects will vary from year to year and even week to week!

Is lunch provided?

Campers should bring their own lunch daily. MAHS provides a morning and afternoon snack and there are often fruits or vegetables from our heirloom gardens and orchard to munch on!

When is the remaining tuition balance due, and how can I pay?

Tuition balance is due at check-in the first day of camp. We accept checks and all major credit cards, though a $5 service fee is applied to all credit card transactions.

Are scholarships available?

Through the generous gifts of our members and local Lions Clubs, need-based scholarships are available. Contact our Executive Director, T.J. Malaskee for more information at [email protected].
